Have you ever been in a season where you’re genuinely trying to follow God — praying, trusting, doing your best but suddenly life hits you with something unfair? You face a situation that makes you question saying, “Lord, why me?”
If that’s you, you’re not alone. The disciples felt the same way. (Mark 4:35–41)
Jesus told his disciples, “Let us go to the other side.” That wasn’t a suggestion — it was a promise. A direction. A destination.
The disciples stepped into the boat with Jesus, and for a moment everything looked peaceful. The water was calm. The sky was quiet. The journey felt safe, But then — out of nowhere — a storm hit. A violent, overwhelming, unexpected storm.
One way or the other, all of us dealt similar situations in life, or some of you might be dealing storm of life. Maybe that’s your life right now. You’re walking with Jesus, but your marriage is shaking. You’re praying, but your finances are tight. You’re trusting God, but your health is under attack. You’re trying to stay strong, but your mind feels heavy.
And you’re thinking, “Lord, I’m doing everything I know… why is this happening?”
But here’s the truth: The storm didn’t mean, Jesus left you . . . The storm meant the enemy was trying to stop your journey.
Some storms in your life aren’t random — they’re resistance. They’re spiritual pushback. They’re attempts to discourage you, distract you, or derail you from reaching the “other side” God already promised.
And notice what Jesus did. He didn’t panic. He didn’t fear. He didn’t run.
He rebuked the storm.
He spoke to it. He confronted it. He shut it down and the storm obeyed.
This is your reminder today: If Jesus said you’re going to the other side, no storm can stop you. Not fear. Not sickness. Not lack. Not confusion. Not the enemy. Your job is not to get panic — your job is to rebuke the storm. Speak peace over your home. Speak healing over your body. Speak clarity over your mind. Speak breakthrough over your situation.
Because storms don’t respond to fear — they respond to faith. And Jesus still in your boat.
📣 Declaration (Mark 4:39)
“Jesus has spoken over my storm: Peace, be still. I will reach the other side. No storm will stop what God has started in my life.”
🙏 Prayer
Father God, thank You for being with me in every storm. Even when life feels overwhelming, thank you for reminding me that you are with me. Today I rebuke every storm sent by the enemy — storms of fear, storms of confusion, storms of sickness, storms of lack, storms of discouragement, storm of _ _ _ _ _. I Speak “Peace, be still” over my life, in Jesus name. Strengthen my faith and remind me that You have already declared my destination. “No weapon formed against me shall prosper.” What you promise in my life will be fulfilled and I am going to the other side. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
